My dad raised me to be a tool guy, but I failed.
He wanted me to be the kind of man that could quickly repair any sort of household or automotive problem.
That just never took. I am just so not a handy person nor do I love playing with tools and gadgets. I stick pretty much to just the high tech electronic stuff love cellphones and computers. However, it’s okay because thanks to one of our handy neighbors, I was able to be far cozier and more economical through the Wintertide months while saving on Heating and A/C costs this year. One fall afternoon while the two of us were enjoying an icy beer on our patio, I mentioned how I was dreading winter. Our little home is heated our an Heating and A/C heating system but, I never know what it means to be truly warm. There seems to be a draft. I even once called the Heating and A/C company to check the Heating and A/C to be totally sure that it was officially sized and operating as it should. The helpful Heating and A/C tech said our chill problem was not actually Heating and A/C oriented. I was telling our acquaintance about this issue when he jumped up and wandered over to his garage, then he brought out a temperature gun. All you had to do, he told e, was point this thing and it would tell you the exact temperature to the decimal of that surface. All of us started going around the entire exterior of the home attempting to find where Heating and A/C was possibly leaking out or cold was seeping in. I was stunned at that time to find that there were so many spots all around our house. All of us went and marked each one. Over the course of a couple of weeks, I was soon able to see or insulate all those areas. The results are beyond astounding as the home is truly cozy. And, the savings on the utility bill that I’ve seen have been awesome.
