It wasn’t a very long time ago when we experienced a pretty extreme thunderstorm, however the kids were so afraid of the thunder, they all came running into our bedroom to try to get a bit of rest, however eventually the power was knocked out; Along with the power went the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C program of course so the air quality got really bad. There was a lot of rain & I was sad that our basement was going to flood without being able to use a sump pump. Eventually the rain subsided though, thankfully. The sad thing is, we didn’t have power for the entire following day, but it was taxing trying to do anything in my lake without any type of power so we made the choice to go out to the movie theatre & we made the choice to go to dinner afterwards. It was nice to enjoy the powerful A/C at the movie theatre & the restaurant we made the decision in the end to go to was really nice as well with good air quality. We were hoping that by the time we got back to our home, the power would be back on, then sure enough when we returned, everything was working just fantastic which was great. I don’t recognize why it took so long for them to get the power back on, however it was so nice that it was back due to the fact that we could use our a/c program again. The air quality was fantastic again & I was thinking about ways to avoid this situation later on. Eventually I got a nice backup generator. I figured with this thing, we could run the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C & the sump pump if the power failed once again.
