The difficulty of adding a furnace after the home is built

Furnaces are a nice feature of any home.

Who doesn’t like having constant heat in their house? Furnaces are efficient, cheap, and pretty simple to maintain.

Though people give forced-air furnaces a bad name because they are loud and steal the moisture in the air, there are definitely worst heating systems that you could have. I used to have ancient baseboard heaters in my home. Not only did they cost a lot of money to use, but they were constantly breaking. I spent a fortune replacing heater after heater. They were also not as safe or effective as new furnaces. Finally, I decided to stop fighting with my old heating systems and to have a furnace installed in my house. That was definitely easier said than done. Thankfully, my house was easier to heat than most. I had an unfinished basement, so they were able to put a furnace down there next to the electrical panel. For the basement and the first floor of our house, we were able to use the higher ceilings to mount the ductwork that would transport the heat from our furnace. However, the second floor was a huge pain. Somehow, we had to get a huge duct to our second floor and cut our large holes in the ceiling. Rather than destroying a huge room in our house, we decided to purchase a second furnace to place in the attic. That way, we only had to cut the vents our to heat our second story. If we ever have to purchase a new house, we will definitely find one that already has a furnace.
